Born in Bangor, Alistair has lived in Llanfairfechan all his life, and he attended Ysgol Aberconwy where he became a competent guitarist and pianist. On leaving school he attended Coleg Llandrillo where he earned a HND in Creative and Interactive Media awarded by the University Of Glamorgan.
He has been performing his solo show in venues far and near since his college days and has already gained a strong and loyal following throughout the country.
His debut album consists of a collection of songs both in Welsh and English written by Alistair and his writing team consisting of Simon Gardner (ex Sony Epic) and Andrew Moore (Dare). The album was produced and recorded by the team between January 2005 and April 2006 at Rockcliffe Studios, Llandudno.
Although classed by many as a ‘New Country’ artist, Alistair’s first album is a diverse collection of songs and styles ranging from power ballads (Rhyddid, Digon Ddim Digoni), haunting melodies (Y Gân Olaf) and up-beat toe-tappers (Antur, Angen, Un I Mi). The album displays musicianship of the highest standards provided by Alistair’s own talented band, as well as touching melodies, moving lyrics and a seamless vocal that switches effortlessly between styles.
