Emyr Wyn first emerged as a notable boy soprano, with several recordings to his credit. In later life, he is better known as lead singer of the close harmony group Mynediad am Ddim. Mynediad has enjoyed popularity for nearly four decades, and much of their appeal revolves around the voice, the personality and the mischievous humour and stage presence of Emyr Wyn. The combination of his robust vocals with Robin Evans’ more refined singing, and the excellent harmony of the whole ensemble, has ensured the group’s continuing appeal.
Emyr is also well known as one of the main characters in the long-running S4C soap opera ‘Pobol y Cwm’, and his other great passion is rugby, of the Scarlet variety. He is a member of the Club management committee at Parc y Scarlets.
Emyr is married to author Siwan Jones.
