ROBIN JAMES-JONES
Biography
Robin James-Jones is a well-known name in the field of Welsh harp playing.
Born and bred in Dolwyddelan near Betws-y-Coed, he started playing the harp at a young age and was taught by Gwenllian Dwyryd, Nansi Richards and Ann Griffiths. He has travelled extensively, spending periods in Ireland and thirteen years in New Orleans as resident harpist in a Celtic bar. To the great many Welsh people who cross over to Ireland annually for the Pan Celtic Festival, Robin’s skilful playing and improvisation on the harp and piano is an integral part of the fun and ‘craic’.
