Following critical acclaim for her outstanding London debut in 1991, Louise Jones released her first highly successful recording for Sain, which has had frequent air play in Britain including Classic FM and across Europe. This was followed by another, and the best of the two CDs is now available as the “Classic Violin Favourites” album.
Louise was the recipient of scholarships and awards at the Royal Northern College of Music where she studied under Yossi Zivoni, and in America at the Universities of Michigan and Northern Illinois where she studied with Camilla Wicks and Shmuel Ashkenasi gaining her Master’s degree and Performance Certificate. Upon her return to Britain in 1990, Louise was awarded the prestigious Grace Williams Memorial Prize in Wales.
