One of Wales’ leading contemporary female vocalists and a foremost innovator in the field of traditional folk songs. Sian writes much of her own material, often giving a slight pop and jazz twist to her songs, and as well as being a singer-songwriter she also plays the Celtic and classical harp and is an excellent pianist.
Sian, a former member of the folk group Bwchadanas before going solo, has released four highly acclaimed albums on the SAIN label. Sian performs regularly in venues throughout Wales, and is also in demand in countries such as Spain and North America.
Her versatility as a performer, which encompasses acting as well as music, has seen her starring on stage, screen and concert venues, and she is respected as one of Wales’ leading ambassadors of song. She lives in Llanerfyl, in her home county of Montgomery, with her children and husband Gwyn, who runs the BOS recording studio and label.
